The Hell's Angels were the 3rd Squadron of the Famous Flying Tigers. During World War II, they operated mainly in China and Burma. The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was one of World War II's most produced aircraft, with more than 13,000 delivered by the end of the war. The aircraft was designed to be both a fighter and a ground attack plane. The P-40B flew at a maximum speed of 360 mph. It was armed with two .50-caliber (12.7mm) and four .30-caliber (7.62mm) machine guns.
The Postage Stamp Curtiss P-40B is in the markings of the American Volunteer Group (AVG) ace Chuck Older of the third squadron, Hell's Angels. The tiger shark mouth was painted on all of the AVG's P-40s and led to their nickname, The Flying Tigers. The diecast metal model features authentic paint scheme with pad printed markings. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
