The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American fighter aircraft used by the Army Air Force during WWII. The P-38 featured a distinctive twin boom and single central nacelle containing the pilot and armament.
The aircraft was used in a number of different roles including close air support, ground attack, photo reconnaissance and escort fighter.
This diecast metal model represents a restored P-38 23 Skidoo which is part of the Planes of Fame collection in Chino California. Model features authentic paint scheme with pad printed markings and display stand.
