YF-117A SN: 79-10781 was the second Nighthawk produced and was assigned to the 410th FTS "Baja Scorpions" and given the name, Scorpion 2. In 1991 the first 2 aircraft of five full-scale development aircraft, 79-10780 and 79-10781 were to be retired early and placed on display. But first, 79-10781 had to be stripped of its toxic radar absorbent coating. It was blasted with baking soda in a special facility, revealing the bare aluminum body. The name "Toxic Death" was then painted on the side as it was considered bad luck for an aircraft not to have a name.
Model features authentic paint scheme and pad printed markings, positionable landing gear, pilot figure and display stand.
