The Voyager Project was conceived in the early '60s as an unmanned mission to the outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). Launch was accomplished in the late summer of 1977. The two craft completed their fly-bys of Jupiter and Saturn in mid-1981. Voyager 2 encountered Uranas in January of 1986, and Neptune in August of 1989. Voyager discovered seven new moons orbiting Uranus as it "flew by". Measures approximately 4 1/4” x 3”.
