Army Air Corps Pin

First used in 1917, the five-pointed star was the standard insignia used to identify US military aircraft from August 1919 to May 1942. The insignia is often associated with the US Army Air Corps, where it was incorporated as a winged-star device on the shoulder patches worn by their personnel. The star with center dot insignia is still worn by US Air Force personnel to this day.

This pin measures 0.625" in diameter.
