The Museum's Boeing B-52G Stratofortress, U.S. Air Force serial number 59-2584, was built in 1959 and is one of 193 G-models built. It saw service in Vietnam in December 1972, during Operation Linebacker II.
Repainted in the camouflage scheme that it wore during its service in Vietnam, 59-2584 will now serve as the centerpiece of the Museum's Vietnam Air War Veterans Memorial.
This aircraft is on loan to The Museum of Flight from the National Museum of The United States Air Force.
