Incorporated in 1965, the Museum owes its very existence to the discovery, recovery and restoration of the sole surviving Boeing Model 80A.
Similarly, the acquisition and relocation to Boeing Field of the historic Red Barn, the first Boeing airplane factory, marked another pivotal turning point in the Museum's story.
The past 50 plus years have witnessed tremendous growth for the Museum, which has grown from the modest beginning of saving one airplane to become one of the foremost educational air-and-space museums in the world.
